Nothing is more refreshing than having a bowl of a soup!



Winters are here to stay and there is nothing more refreshing in this season than having a steaming hot bowl of soup. Soups are one of the best meals you can have in the winner season to beat the chill. A soup can do what a medicine never can – soothe and relax you when you are down with cold, cough and fever. When you are down with cold, all you need is a BIG bowl of soup, and all your cold will go away. It is the best remedy you can have during this season. You can have any kind of soups depending upon your taste and your diet.  For instance, if you like spicy food then hot and sour soup will be best for you or if you do not have a taste for spice then the sweet corn soup will be perfect for you. So, it all depends on your taste. Not only this, soups can also be categorized based on whether you are a vegetarian or a non-vegetarian.  Winter is incomplete without having a steaming bowl of lip smacking soup.
Here are five of my favorite traditional soups for this season that you can relish on to keep you warm in this cold weather.

Lemon Coriander soup
Lemon, which is a rich source of vitamin C, helps build immunity from cold and cough during winters. You can relax with a bowl of hot Lemon Coriander Soup to indulge in a comforting experience. It is the most simplest and delicious soup that is found around the globe.

Cream of Mushroom soup
Mushrooms are one of my favorites and they can be found in abundance during the winter season. The mushrooms contain a variety of immune-boosting properties. So, when it comes to soups, the Cream of Mushroom soup is another simplest type of soup that is both delicious and nutritious. This soup has a rich source of vitamin D.

Hot and Sour soup
The hot and sour soup is another most popular soups found around the globe, and it contains all the ingredients o make it spicy and sour. This type of soup can be enjoyed by both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Especially in winters, you can put lots and lots of vegetables in this soup. There are different variants of hot and sour soup and you can choose one depending upon your taste and appetite.

Vegetarian (or chicken) clear soup
Once of my hot favorites is the clear soup that is available both for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. This is the most simplest kind of soup as it can be cooked within 30 minutes of timeframe and it is  healthy as it consists a lot of vegetables irrespective of adding chicken / meat. In addition, this type of soup also helps clear of any threat infection as we can lots of pepper in this soup. The clear soup is totally refreshing in winters and you must have it steaming hot if you have cold.

Cauliflower soup
This is another soup I have found quite tasty and refreshing after trying it for the first time as per recommendation from my aunt, Samana Mustafa.
